Contents: 

This readme file contains a description of the replication process and materials for the above-mentioned manuscript. Please refer to the paper and the supplementary materials for further details. The models were estimated in R version 4.2.2. Needed packages: mlogit. 

The models were run under Intel® Core™ i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz (64bit); Operating system: Windows 8.1. The running time is marginal.


- Data: Data.RDS
This data set contains the election data and all variables used in the manuscript. The supplementary materials contain a detailed description of the data and the operationalization.  

- R Script: Replication.R
This file contains the commands to run the models and create the tables in the manuscript. Users are advised to set up a single folder as their working directory and assign the file path for this working directory to the object.
