GENERAL INFORMATION ........................... 1. Dataset title: Texture Detection with Feature Extraction on Embedded FPGA - Dataset 2. Authors: Raúl Lora-Rivera Óscar Oballe-Peinado Fernando Vidal-Verdú 3. Author contact information: Raúl Lora-Rivera - raul.lora@uma.es METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION ................................. 1. Description of the methods for collection/generation of data: Data was obtained from a custom smart tactile sensor mounted on a Cartesian robot exploring different textures (see the paper document for more information). R. Lora-Rivera, Ó. Oballe-Peinado and F. Vidal-Verdú, "Texture Detection With Feature Extraction on Embedded FPGA," in IEEE Sensors Journal, vol. 23, no. 11, pp. 12093-12104, 1 June1, 2023, doi: 10.1109/JSEN.2023.3268794. 2. Software or instruments needed to interpret the data: The data is provided in CSV format, allowing it to be accessed by both commercial and open-source software. FILE OVERVIEW ---------------------- In this document there are attached twelve .csv files. These are the data obtained from the tactile sensor used in this work (see the paper document for more information). DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION: ------------------------------------------- 1. Name File: TEX*.csv 1.1. Variables list: For each file, there are 200 raws with 2048 values obtained from the tactile sensor used in this work. 2. Name File: TEXTURE_IMAGE.png This is an image with the twelve textures and their corresponding label, so it is easy to identify them (see also Section III -> Materials and Methods, Subsection C -> Texture Samples of the paper).
