1. Description of the methods for collection/generation of data: 

This dataset contains a number of experiments where sensory data is requested from a remote robot through the Internet. Each experiment is a time series of the roundtrip delays measured, which include network, operating systems and application delays.

Data is raw; no processing has been done after measuring the roundtrip times.


3. Software or instruments needed to interpret the data:

Any mathematical software. spreadsheet application or programming language able to load .csv files in plain text.

It includes experiments carried out in different geographical locations, with different software architectures and robots, also simulated ones. 




FILE OVERVIEW

The dataset consists of a number of files containing the raw roundtrips, named "tyrell_roundtrip???.csv" (??? stands for the unique numeric index of the experiment), coupled with plain text files named "tyrell_roundtrip???_metadata.txt" that describe each experiment.

Geoloc: Geographical distance (approximate) and/or geographical location of robot and station
Software: Software used in both the robot and the station (OS, frameworks, etc.)
Date: Date of the experiment (if available)
