Please refer to the manuscript and the supplementary materials for further details. The models were estimated in R version 3.5.1. Needed packages: mlogit and ggplot2. The models were run under Intel® Core™ i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz (64bit); Operating system: Windows 8.1. The running time is marginal.


- Data: Election_Data.RData
This data set contains all variables used in Section 4 “Empirical Illustration”. The supplementary materials contain a detailed description of the data and the operationalization (Section A).  

- Election_Data_Command_File.R
This file contains the commands to run the models to run the models and create Figure 1 in R. Users are advised to set up a single folder as their working directory and assign the file path for this working directory to the object.
