1. Description of the methods for collection/generation of data: 

Adolescents participated voluntarily and anonymously (prior consent from educational centres and legal tutors) filling out a pencil-and-paper some questionnaires.

- Data was obtained through quantitative analysis.

3. Software or instruments needed to interpret the data:
SPSS version 29.0 or open access programs that read .csv files such as Jasp or Jamovi.

Classroom conditions in schools.

The dataset is distributed in one single file in .csv format. This provides information on:
   -Random number assigned to the participant

Value labels: Emotion_regulation_score.
Variable name: WLEIS emotion regulation subscale score.
 	Description: Subscale of emotion regulation of the Spanish version of Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) (Wong & Law, 2002).
	Units of measure or value labels: 7-point Likert ranging from 1 to 7. Each value in the range is specified in the database.

Value labels: Insomnia_score
Variable name: Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) score
 	Description: The Spanish version of Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) (Bastien et al., 2001).
	Units of measure or value labels: 5-point Likert ranging form 0 to 4. Each value is specified in the database.

Value labels: Depression_score
Variable name: Total DASS-Depression symptomatology score
 	Description: Subscale of depression of the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21) (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995).
	Units of measure or value labels: 4-point Likert ranging from 0 to 3. Each value in the range is specified in the database.

Variable name: Total DASS-Anxiety symptomatology score
 	Description: Subscale of anxiety of the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21) (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995).

Variable name: Total DASS-Depression symptomatology score (×2)
 	Description: To obtain scores that allow for the classification of participants according to the severity of their depression symptomatology, we multiplied the values of the variable Depression_score by 2, following the procedure recommended by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995).
	Units of measure or value labels: Transformed total score (original 0-3 Likert responses multiplied by 2). Higher scores indicate greater depression symptom severity.

Value labels: Anxiety_score_x2
Variable name: Total DASS-Anxiety symptomatology score (x2)
 	Description: To obtain scores that allow for the classification of participants according to the severity of their anxiety symptomatology, we multiplied the values of the variable Anxiety_score by 2, following the procedure recommended by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995).
        Units of measure or value labels: Transformed total score (original 0-3 Likert responses multiplied by 2). Higher scores indicate greater anxiety symptom severity.

Value labels: Depression_severity_level
Variable name: DASS-Depression severity classification (based on total score ×2)
 	Description: To classify participants according to their depression severity level, we applied the cut-off criteria proposed by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995) to the Depression_score_x2.
	Units of measure or value labels: Categorical classification of depression severity based on Lovibond and Lovibond (1995). Each value in the range is specified in the database.

Variable name: DASS-Anxiety severity classification (based on total score ×2)
 	Description: To classify participants according to their anxiety severity level, we applied the cut-off criteria proposed by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995) to the Anxiety_score_x2.

Variable name: Clinical grouping based on DASS-Depression severity classification
 	Description: To classify participants into clinical categories, we grouped their depression severity levels into three categories: Normal (healthy), Subclinical (mild–moderate), and Clinical (severe–extremely severe).
	Units of measure or value labels: Categorical clinical grouping based on depression severity level. Each value in the range is specified in the database.

Value labels: Anxiety_Clinical_Category
Variable name: Clinical grouping based on DASS-Anxiety severity classification
 	Description: To classify participants into clinical categories, we grouped their anxiety severity levels into three categories: healthy (normal), subclinical (mild–moderate), and clinical (severe–extremely severe)
