METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION

1. Description of the methods for collection/generation of data: 

Quantification data was obtained by imaging methods. Several pictures were taken of the labelled tissue with optical or confocal microscopes. Then, they were processed using FIJI (ImageJ) software, turning them into 8-bit pictures and measuring the intensity of the pixels. After obtaining this intensity of the label, such measure was divided by the area of the region of interest, for example, the hippocampus. All loadings were obtained by this process.

A similar procedure was followed to quantify western and dot blot assays. We measured the intensity of the signal with the grey and mean value feture of the FIJI software. After measuring the intensity of the band, the background intensity was substracted from the measure.

All these data was then represented in graphics using GraphPad 9.4.1.


2. Data processing methods

All data collected was copied and pasted in an excel file divided in as many sections as the number of figures. In such excel it is included: tables with the represented values in the graphics and complete images of the membranes of the western and dot blots.

It is necessary having the excell program installed.
