Abstract

TEACHING METHODOLOGY AFTER THE PANDEMIC IN HIGHER EDUCATION The students have had to face new unforeseen educational situations, which has led to instability that they continue to drag today after the pandemic. This has generated new challenges in teaching, challenges focused on the use of specific methodologies for returning to the classroom after a state of prolonged confinement. The aim of this study is understand and analyze which teaching methodology is the most appropriate to optimize the learning in Higher Education after the pandemic, into account the point of view of university students. To achieve the aforementioned objective, a study was carried out with a design framed in the mixed method, taking into account the collection of both qualitative information and the collection of quantitative data. The study participants were 43 university students from the Faculty of Sciences of the Education, and the selected information collection instruments and strategies were a Likert-type questionnaire and a discussion group. For the data analysis, descriptive statistical analyzes were used, on the one hand, and the categorization of evidence on the other hand. The results of this research indicate that according to the study participants, the teaching methodology in the classroom should focus on meeting the needs of the student individually, as well as taking into account the emotions and circumstances of the person.
