Abstract

Varactor diodes are indispensable components in modern RF and microwave design, prized for their rapid response to modulation voltages in applications ranging from frequency-tunable oscillators to reconfigurable metasurfaces. Beyond simple tuning, these devices are increasingly utilized in advanced parametric systems, such as compact antennas capable of exhibiting different radiation patterns in transmission and reception [1], as well as nonreciprocal isolating bandpass filters that achieve isolation through spatiotemporal modulation [2].
