Abstract
This Master’s Thesis presents a feasibility study for the establishment of a company dedicated to the production of batteries for electric vehicles in the city of Málaga. The analysis covers several key aspects necessary to determine the viability of the project. First, a strategic analysis is conducted to understand the current market situation and to identify opportunities and threats that inform the formulation of the business strategy. This is followed by the technical study of the business, which includes the selection of the company’s location, the battery production process, and the structure of the supply chain required to ensure operational efficiency. In addition, a human resources plan is developed to determine the staffing needs and the professional profiles required. A core component of the project is the economic and financial analysis, which identifies the cost structure involved in both the implementation and operation of the company, projected revenues, and a five-year profit and loss forecast under three different scenarios: optimistic, moderate, and pessimistic. The study also examines the environmental impact of establishing such a facility in M´alaga, including proposed mitigation measures to minimize any potential negative effects. Furthermore, a list of administrative procedures required prior to the commencement of business operations is provided. The main objective of this study is to identify the opportunities and risks associated with the project, to estimate its costs and benefits, and ultimately, to assess its overall feasibility.
