El determinismo ambiental en dos autores clásicos : Hipócrates y Herodoto

Abstract

El interés por la influencia que el clima y el medio ambiente ejercen sobre la vida en general, y sobre el hombre en particular, no es nuevo. Comprobamos a través del estudio de la obra de autores como Heródoto e Hipócrates, y de sus posturas ante el determinismo ambiental, como en la antigüedad se empieza a fraguar la toma de conciencia sobre estos temas. Toma de conciencia que hoy día se está reclamando a nuestra sociedad desde todas las esferas del conocimiento.The interest for the influence that the climate and the environment exercise about the life in general and on the man in particular, it is not new. We check through the study of the work of authors like Herodotus and Hippocrates, and of their postures before the environmental determinism, like in the antiquity you begins to forge the taking of conscience on these topics. It makes aware that nowadays it is claiming to our society from all the spheres of the knowledge.
