Abstract
El 10 de febrero de 1810 llegaron los ejércitos napoleónicos a Ronda, sometiendo a la
población a sangre y fuego. Durante los primeros momentos de la ocupación francesa algunos
rondeños siguieron al rey Intruso, pero otros confiaron en la actuación de las guerrillas de la
Serranía para su liberación que se produciría en el mes de agosto de 1812.
February 10th of 1810 Napoleon’s army arrived to Ronda, subduing population mercilessly. During initial stages of French occupation, many of the local people followed the intruder king, but many others trusted in their liberation by the guerrillas’ intervention, which would take place in August of 1812.
