Abstract

El catálogo elaborado para ilustrar la exposición del patrimonio custodiado por la Pontificia y Real Archicofradía de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Antequera, ha servido de motivación para ampliar los datos históricos sobre esta corporación y su imagen titular, pues sintetizan el espíritu barroco de las sociedades enclavadas en el Antiguo Régimen. Las continuas súplicas a la intercesión de esta advocación, cuando desastres naturales y virales se ensañaban con su vecindario, conforman una historia de antropología cultural rica en matices y bien documentada, de la cual queremos ofrecer un breve testimonio a través del presente trabajoThe catalog produced for the exhibition illustrate heritage guarded by the Pontifical and Royal Confraternity of Our Lady of the Rosary of Antequera, has served as a motivation to extend the historical data on the corporation and its image holder, for synthesizing the baroque spirit of interlocked companies in the Old Regime.
