Abstract
The presence of three potentially invasive alien species in the coastal ecosystems of Málaga and Granada, Andalusia (Spain), is reported: Asparagus asparagoides(L.) Druce, Cylindropuntia leptocaulis(DC.) F.M. Knuth, and Cylindropuntia× tetracantha(Toumey) F.M. Knuth. The first one represents a chorogical novelty for Eastern Andalusia, while the other two are new findings for Andalusia as a whole. These species occupy Habitats of Community Interest along the coast, included in Council Directive 92/43/EEC, and areas within the Natural Monument "Dunas de Artola o Cabopino" (Protected Area under Andalusian regulations -Decree 250/2003). The origin of these species could be related to ornamental uses. These findings are valuable for early warning programs of invasive species
