Project-Based Methodology to Introduce Industrial Design Students to Electronics

Abstract

Electronics are present in a multitude of products in the form of communications, sensors, control, etc., and are usually an important component. Therefore, having knowledge of electronics to be able to integrate electronic systems into products is of great relevance in their design. Here a project-based methodology is proposed for an introductory course to electronics in Design Engineering, which takes into account the particular approach of Design Engineering and deals with the main difficulties that we have detected that Design Engineering students face in relation to electronics in product design.
