La Compañía Española de Electricidad y Gas Lebon en la Guerra Civil española.

Abstract

Este texto aborda, por primera vez, la trayectoria de la Compañía Española de Electricidad y Gas Lebon durante la Guerra Civil española, en perspectiva comparada con otras empresas energéticas. Es un caso relevante porque por entonces era una de las principales sociedades energéticas del país. Hemos analizado cómo quedaron divididos sus activos e identificado los órganos responsables de su gestión. En general, la producción de gas en zona rebelde aumentó, esto se debió a diversos factores, el más decisivo fue que el abastecimiento de carbón no experimentó graves complicaciones. El consumo y la clientela de gas y electricidad también crecieron. For the first time, we analyse the evolution of the Compañía Española de Electricidad y Gas Lebon during the Spanish Civil War, comparing it to similar companies in the sector. The company is relevant because at the time it was one of the main energetic companies of the country. We have studied the way in which they divided the company’s assets and we have identified the people responsible for managing it. In general, gas production in the national side went up due to various factors, among them the fact that coal was easily available. Gas and electricity consumption and clients grew, too.
