Los extranjeros en la España Moderna : un campo historiográfico en expansión

Abstract

Este artículo trata de trazar la evolución de un campo historiográfico: Los extranjeros en la España Moderna. Se analizan sus orígenes a través de la obra del profesor Domínguez Ortiz (1942-2003), resaltando la importancia que tuvieron sus obras para la expansión de este tema entre los historiadores. La trascendencia de su obra se percibe por la gran proliferación de estudios posteriores y por las numerosas reuniones científicas que se han celebrado y celebran en torno a estas cuestiones.The purpose of this article is to present the beginning and evolution of a filed of study: Foreign in Modern Spain. This paper highlights first important contributions about this subject done by professor Domínguez Ortiz (1942-2003). The proliferation of studies and scientific meetings that have been celebrated in the last decades can not be understood without considering pioneer works of the distinguished historian, recently deceased.
