Abstract
socialista
This paper looks into the relations established between Nation/State, citizenship and the different feminisms in the framework of the social theory of sex/gender. It focuses on the connections established by the State with the civil society, and also on its distributive and coercive policies, which are analyzed through two intertwined areas: women rights as citizens and public assistance and social reforms in several countries. Priority consideration is given to the role played by legislation and woman movements in the process of citizenship formation and radicalization in liberal/democratic and socialist terms
