Abstract
The aim of this Final Degree Project is the virtual recreation of the steam carriage designed by Richard Trevithick in 1803, an important part of the history of transport and engineering. To do this, a search of historical sources in books, articles and plans was carried out, which served as the basis for a detailed 3D modeling in SolidWorks; this model was then imported into 3ds Max, where high quality renders were generated that provide a realistic visualization of the carriage. The project includes two videos: an exploded view showing how the carriage is assembled step by step and a video showing the carriage running on a virtual circuit. These animations help to understand how it works in a clear and visual way. In addition to serving as an educational resource, the digital recreation contributes to the conservation of industrial patrimony, as it offers a reproducible model that can be used in museums, exhibitions or virtual and augmented reality applications. In this way, it facilitates the dissemination of the first advances in steam locomotion to a wide audience in an accessible way.
