RT Conference Proceedings T1 Metabolic preference studies in cells of the tumor microenvironment A1 Ocaña Farfán, María del Carmen A1 Martínez-Póveda, Beatriz Amparo A1 Rodríguez-Quesada, Ana María A1 Medina-Torres, Miguel Ángel K1 Cáncer K1 Células - Metabolismo AB In the last years, the rediscovery of the Warburg effect and high tumoral glutaminolysishas lead to a renewed interest in cancer metabolism. Moreover, recent studies haveput some importance in endothelial cells metabolism. Inquiring into the metabolism ofaccompanying cells of the tumor microenvironment, such as endothelial and immunecells, could shed some light in the search for alternative cancer therapeuticapproaches. In this work the use of glucose, glutamine and palmitate as metabolicfuels by endothelial and tumoral cells is studied. In addition, we also test if two antiangiogeniccompounds previously described by our group are able to modify keysteps of endothelial and/or tumor cells metabolism YR 2016 FD 2016-10-03 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10630/12128 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10630/12128 LA eng NO [Our experimental work is supported by grants BIO2014-56092-R (MINECO andFEDER) and P12-CTS-1507 (Andalusian Government and FEDER) and funds fromgroup BIO-267 (Andalusian Government).
