AB Conduite d'approche is a French term used traditionally to describe the behavior of individuals with aphasia or related disorders who produce successive phonemic self-corrections in an attempt to approximate the desired target during speech production. An example of conduite d'approche when attempting to produce the word “dromedary” might include the following sequence: “de, dremo, dra, dremo, dremodary, dromedary, dromedary!”.
