AB The Geografika of Strabo can be considered a synthesis between the previouscartography-centred geography and a history-centred view of space and territories. The RomanEmpire has helped a lot to make clear this dimension in the new ways and perspectivescreated by his new dimensions and the changes it entailed; in his chorographical books Strabodeveloped a kind of enquiry closely related to the need of understanding and explaining thisnew process.
