RT Conference Proceedings T1 Analysis of Natural Responses and Hydrochemical Data by Statistical Approaches as a Tool to Understanding the Hydrogeological Functioning of a Highly Karstified Evaporitic System in South Spain A1 Gil-Márquez, José Manuel A1 Mudarra-Martínez, Matías A1 Andreo-Navarro, Bartolomé K1 Karst K1 Hidrología kárstica AB At southern Cordoba Province (Spain), an evaporitic karst plateau drained by brinesprings is located. A periodic monitoring of discharge rate, EC, water temperature, and pH was performed in one of them (Lower Anzur spring) and water samples werecollected for chemical analysis. Physicochemical data were used to perform a principalcomponent analysis (PCA) to characterize the functioning of the system. Temporalevolution of the controlled parameters reveals a markedly karst behavior. PCA hasdefined two principal factors, one related to salinity and other linked to infiltrationprocesses (NO3−, Ca2+). The slight thermal anomaly and the high mineralizationregistered indicate the existence of ascending regional groundwater flows of longresidence time, which would converge into the spring, mixed with recently infiltratedwater that circulated through a conduit network formed in the evaporite rocks YR 2016 FD 2016-11-10 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10630/12364 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10630/12364 LA eng NO Universidad de Málaga.
