RT Conference Proceedings T1 Presence of radon pollution in buildings and risk of cancer A1 Burgos-Molina, Antonio Manuel A1 Ruiz González, Óscar M. A1 González Vidal, Alejandro A1 Ruiz-Gómez, Miguel José K1 Radón - Aspectos ambientales K1 Cáncer - Factores de riesgo AB Radon gas present in the ground penetrates into homes through different routes, accumulating especially in rooms close to the ground. The dose received from radioactivity due to inhalation of radon inside houses poses a significant risk of lung cancer. It is necessary to design buildings in which the penetration of radon is difficult or prevented and/or its removal is increased.
