AB This study examines visitors' perceptions of industrial mining heritage in Spain, a sector ofsignificant cultural and economic value that has led to the establishment of museums and miningparks, which have been transformed into tourism products. Using text mining and natural languageprocessing techniques, Tripadvisor’s online reviews of nine industrial mining heritage resourcesdistributed across different autonomous communities in Spain were analysed. The primary objectivewas to investigate how visitors describe and evaluate their experiences at these sites. The resultsindicated a generally positive perception, with visitors frequently citing terms such as "interesting,""recommendable," and "spectacular." However, critical points were also identified, particularly inrelation to the duration and physical demands of the visits. This study highlights the educationaland aesthetic importance of these sites, recognising their value in teaching the history of industrialmining and in offering cultural tourism.

NO 1.027 / 5.000Este estudio examina la percepción de los visitantes sobre el patrimonio minero industrial en España, un sector de gran valor cultural y económico que ha propiciado la creación de museos y parques mineros, transformados en productos turísticos. Mediante técnicas de minería de texto y procesamiento del lenguaje natural, se analizaron las reseñas online de Tripadvisor sobre nueve recursos del patrimonio minero industrial distribuidos en diferentes comunidades autónomas españolas. El objetivo principal fue investigar cómo los visitantes describen y evalúan sus experiencias en estos sitios. Los resultados indicaron una percepción generalmente positiva, con visitantes que citaron con frecuencia términos como "interesante", "recomendable" y "espectacular". Sin embargo, también se identificaron puntos críticos, especialmente en relación con la duración y la exigencia física de las visitas. Este estudio destaca la importancia educativa y estética de estos sitios, reconociendo su valor para la enseñanza de la historia de la minería industrial y para ofrecer turismo cultural.
