AB La ingente inversión en investigación científica y técnica realizada en la España del sigloXVIII generó una serie de instrumentos burocráticos de control para garantizar la rentabilidadde tales recursos. Las instrucciones a viajeros y espías, las medidas de contraespionaje, ladetección de disfunciones interinstitucionales y los exhaustivos informes y comprobacionesson el objeto de estudio de esta investigación.
AB The enormous investment on scientific and technical research carried out in eighteenthcenturySpain developed a series of bureaucratic measures of control designed to ensure theprofitability of such resources. It is the purpose of the present essay to examine the instructionsto travellers and spies, counterespionage procedures, the detection of interinstitutionaldysfunctions and the exhaustive reports and checking processes.
