RT Conference Proceedings T1 Robust tracking for augmented reality A1 González-Linares, José María A1 Guil-Mata, Nicolás A1 Ramos-Cózar, Julián K1 Arquitectura de ordenadores AB In this paper a method for improving a tracking algorithm in an augmentedreality application is presented. This method addresses several issues to thisparticular application, like marker-less tracking and color constancy with lowquality cameras, or precise tracking with real-time constraints. Due to size restrictionssome of the objects are tracked using color information. To improve thequality of the detection, a color selection scheme is proposed to increase colordistance between different objects in the scene. Moreover, a new color constancymethod based in a diagonal-offset model and k-means is presented. Finally, somereal images are used to show the improvement with this new method.
