AB En este artículo se realiza un breve resumen de la evolución histórica del turismo en elMediterráneo, destacando la extensa tradición que el turismo tiene en la zona. Este mar ha vistosurgir las más diversas actividades de ocio en los últimos dos mil años. Hay que constatar quela tendencia al viaje hacia este mar, por parte de los pueblos del centro y el norte de Europa, esun hábito arragaido.El Mediterráneo ha visto como tempranamente creció en su orilla el turismo de masas ycomo, a pesar del tiempo transcurrido, sigue siendo el principal destino mundial, aunque nuevasregiones turísticas disputan su primacía.
AB This paper makes a short resume of the historical evolution of the Tourism in theMediterranean Sea. It focuses on the large touristical tradition. This sea has seen to arise themost diversify leisure activities along the last two thousand years. It cheeks that travellingtrends towards to Mediterranean Sea is an old custom for Central Europe and North Europepeoples.Tourism Mass that grew up on its shore very early has been seen by the Mediterranean Sea,and goes on the main tourist destination on the world, although new tourist regions challengethe first place.
