In addition, SON (Self organizationNetworks) techniques have been developed to automate networkmanagement, being Mobility Robustness Optimization a key usecase. Traditionally, Mobility Robustness Optimization aims toimproving Handover performance by reducing too-early, too-lateand ping-pong handovers. Nevertheless, these techniques may failwhen pursuing maximum user QoE at cell edge. In this work,a novel Mobility Robustness Optimization algorithm is proposedto reach maximum QoE at cell edge in a realistic LTE networkwith a file download service.
