AB Traditionally focused on good old-fashionedAI and robotics, the Spanish AI communityholds a vigorous computational intelligencesubstrate. Neuromorphic, evolutionary, orfuzzylike systems have been developed by manyresearch groups in the Spanish computer sciences.It is no surprise, then, that these naturegroundedefforts start to emerge, enriching theAI catalogue of research projects and publicationsand, eventually, leading to new directionsof basic or applied research. In this article, wereview the contribution of Melomics in computationalcreativity.
