AB Las alcabalas fueron a partir del s. XV el impuesto ordinario más importante de Castillay el mejor indicador económico del consumo urbano. Sus relaciones nos permiten estudiartanto la geografía tributaria de los partidos como el peso específico de los diversos productosen el mercado. Pero, además de estos aspectos referentes al tributo, importan también losdistintos sistemas de recaudación, en torno a los cuales hubo una lucha sorda ya que tanto elarrendamiento como el encabezamiento abrigaban intereses diferentes.
AB Fom XVth century onwards the alcabalas were the most important ordinary taxes of theCrown of Castile and, therefore, the most significative index of urban consume. The list ofalcabalas allow us on one hand study of fiscal districts and, on the other, the importance of eachitem sold in urban markets. However the scholar must consider as well the systems of perceptionof these taxes and the persons involved in them, because there was a clear struggle betweendifferents sections of urban oligarchies in order to control the collection of the alcabalas.
