These lightweight aircraft equipped with cameras and telemetry systems transmit real-time data and images to ground operators. Initial experiments focus on monitoring migratory birds in Doñana National Park, using UAS to capture wildlife data efficiently and with less noise than traditional planes. UAS are cost-effective, require less logistics, and reduce risks compared to manned flights. The project is evaluating optimal flight parameters to minimize wildlife disturbance. Future work will explore advanced technologies like infrared and ultraviolet cameras for broader environmental applications.
