Through content analysis of 17 local media outletsand 6356 news pieces, we investigate how these elements cohesively contribute to the constructionof an interconnected community. The findings indicate that predominantly local and regionalcoverage, along with reliance on primary sources within the community and the prevalence of topicsrelated to politics, sports, and culture, play pivotal roles in creating a shared community fabric. Bycontextualizing the importance of “glocalization” in journalism, the study demonstrates how localmedia act as a mirror to community realities and aspirations, promoting a sense of intersubjectivity, adaptability, and civic engagement. This work underscores the critical importance of local media inrepresenting the diversity of reality, facilitating civic participation, and strengthening the social fabricwithin the local context.
