AB Entre las ocasiones propicias para hacer ostentación del rango social, las procesiones públicasocupan, en la Edad Moderna, un lugar destacado, capaz de lograr un sincretismo paradigmáticoentre las dignidades municipales y religiosas de cualquier localidad. En Antequera, sin embargo,esta representatividad no fue tan armónica y son varios los incidentes registrados en dichascelebraciones, incluidos los solemnes festejos del Corpus Christi. El orden de los miembros dela comitiva era el principal motivo de disputa entre el cabildo de la Colegiata y el concejo, pueséste siempre pretendía ir después del eclesiástico, lo más cerca posible de la Sagrada Forma ocerrar el séquito ondeando el pendón, en honor del Santo venerado el día señalado para ello porel calendario litúrgico. En este último caso, dos van a ser las procesiones generales, de carácteranual, donde se registre la presencia de ambas corporaciones al completo y, por lo tanto, losmomentos de mayor tensión: Las de San Felipe y Santiago, el primer día de mayo, y el de SantaEufemia, patrona ganadora, el dieciséis de septiembre. Estas conmemoraciones, los altercadosproducidos en su transcurso y la ejecutoria de Felipe II de 1577, destinada a regular los actosfestivos, serán los principales objetivos del presente estudio.
AB Between the favourable occasions to do ostentation of the social rank, the public processionsoccupy, in the Modern Age, a place highlighted, able to attain a syncretism paradigmatic betweenthe dignities municipal and religious of any town. In Antequera, however, this representativenesswas not so harmonic and are varied the incidents registered in said celebrations, included thesolemn festoons of the Corpus Christi. The order or placing of the members of the comitia wasthe main reason of dispute between the cabled of the Collegiate and the municipal, pues thisalways pretended to go after the clergyman, the more near possible of the Holy Form or of theimage of Santo venerate in the day signalled for this. In this last case, two go to be the generalprocessions where register the presence of both corporations to the complete and, therefore,the moments of main tension: The ones of Saint Felipe and Santiago, the primmer day of May,and the one of Santa Eufemia, winning patron saint, the 16 of September of each year. Thesecommemorations, the altercations produced in his transcurso and the ejecutoria of Felipe II of1577 destinate to regulate the festive acts will be the main aims of the present study.
