RT Journal Article T1 Virulence properties of three new Photobacterium species affecting cultured fish. A1 Labella Vera, Alejandro Manuel A1 Rosado, Juan Jesús A1 Balado, Miguel A1 Lemos, Manuel A1 Borrego-García, Juan José K1 Piscicultura K1 Peces - Enfermedades por virus AB Several virulence factors of three new Photobacterium species:Photobacterium toruni, Photobacterium malacitanum and Photobacteriumandalusiense associated with diseases of cultured redbanded seabream (Pagrusauriga) were studied. The exoenzymatic activities, adherence and cytotoxiccapabilities, and iron-uptake mechanisms were determined both in bacterialextracellular products (ECP) and whole bacterial cells. The histopathologydamages provoked on redbanded seabream by the ECP was also studied.
