   <mods:abstract>This article will highlight some trends of education policy in Czech teachers’ pregraduate education. We will outline the generally accepted theoretical base of practical teacher training, show selected examples of how such training is organized and present a brief discussion on recent challenges that the pregraduate education has been facing, including elements of its practical component.</mods:abstract>
