<subfield code="a">The fundamental objectives of the Physical Education subject are to promote healthy lifestyle habits, such as increasing the rate of physical activity of students, in order to improve their health levels, since more than 80% of adolescents throughout the world do not meet the recommended guidelines for daily physical activity. However, specialist teachers find limitations when it comes to fully fulfilling this purpose. Some of them being the lack of time and motivation, as well as the impossibility of monitoring the amount of physical activity that students perform outside of Physical Education classes. Fortunately, there are pedagogical resources that can offer solutions to these limitations and provide new opportunities to enrich the teaching-learning process, such as the implementation of gamification within intermittent teaching units, as well as the use of behavior modification strategies such as activity wristbands. This study presents a proposal for a gamified intermittent teaching unit for the subject of Physical Education, based on the use of behavior modification strategies, with the purpose of promoting daily physical activity habits in adolescents. The combination of intermittent teaching units with other behavior modification strategies can be a valuable resource for the implementation of effective and feasible programs aimed at increasing regular levels of physical activity among adolescents.</subfield>
