Monumento como icono : la imagen plástica del Puente Nuevo de Ronda en el siglo XX López Flores, Rafael Valentín Ronda (Málaga) - Puentes Puente Nuevo (Ronda) El Puente Nuevo de Ronda es uno de esos monumentos que, a través de los siglos, se han convertido en verdaderos iconos; imágenes representativas de las ciudades en las que se alzan. Un monumento que ha traspasado fronteras, identificando no solo a una población, sino a todo un conjunto. Un conjunto que podemos identificar con el de la Andalucía romántica. Circunstancia que ha llegado a ser posible gracias a la multitud de representaciones gráficas y plásticas que lo han tenido como protagonista. Representaciones muy demostrativas que empezaron a producirse en torno a finales del siglo XVIII, que tuvieron en el XIX su máximo esplendor, y que se prolongan hasta nuestros días. Tradición que tuvo en el siglo XX un periodo de gran esplendor, caracterizado por la peculiar fusión entre la tradición romántica y las nuevas vías de renovación del lenguaje plástico. Producciones del siglo XX que son las que dan pie a un estudio como éste, donde analizamos sus rasgos y ejemplos más específicos y destacables. Ronda’s New Bridge is one of those monuments that, through the centuries, they have become true icons; representative images of the cities in those that run off with. A monument that has passed over opposite, not identifying alone to a population, but to an entire group. A group that we can identify with that of the romantic Andalusia. Circumstance that has ended up being possible thanks to the multitude of graphic and plastic representations that you/they have had it as main character. Very demonstrative representations that began to take place around final of the XVIII century that had in the XIX one their maximum splendor, and that they are prolonged until our days. Tradition that had in the XX century a period of great splendor, characterized by the peculiar coalition between the romantic tradition and the new roads of renovation of the plastic language.
