The complementary strip-slot can be successfully modeled by means of a lattice equivalent circuit, with realizable immittances. In the case of the misaligned complementary stripslot, useful in series fed arrays, the lattice network is not applicable
because of its asymmetry. There are few approaches in the technical literature for that problem, i.e., an equivalent circuit for
an asymmetric lossy network. One of the few proposals was made by Felsen and Oliner in 1954. The aim of this communication is to use that equivalent circuit for the characterization of some misaligned strip-slot structures, and to provide some basic
conclusions.
