Esta investigación examina la aplicación del lenguaje audiovisual del documental en las series de televisión. El objetivo principal es identificar y analizar las técnicas documentales presentes en series de ficción. Una vez apuntadas las convenciones estilísticas del documental, se aborda un análisis formal audiovisual en una muestra de series representativas. Los resultados confirman que las series incorporan estrategias y convenciones estilísticas del documental como la cámara en mano, los testimonios a cámara, la voz en off o la inclusión de material de archivo. Estas estrategias aportan una apariencia de autenticidad y veracidad, difuminando los límites entre ficción y no ficción.
This paper examines the application of the audiovisual language of documentary in television series. The main objective is to identify and analyse the documentary techniques present in fiction series. Once the stylistic conventions of the documentary have been identified, a formal audiovisual analysis is carried out on a sample of representative series. The results confirm that the series incorporate documentary strategies and stylistic conventions such as the hand-held camera, on-camera testimonies, voice-over, or the inclusion of archive material. These strategies provide an appearance of authenticity and veracity, and blur the boundaries between fiction and non-fiction.
