Abstract
his study examines the role of PPARγ2 and IGFBPs in visceral adipose tissue of morbidly obese patients with varying insulin resistance (IR). PPARγ2 expression was lower in those with high IR, while IGFBP-2 showed protective effects in low IR cases, and IGFBP-3 correlated with severe IR. The findings highlight PPARγ2's regulatory role in adipocyte function and its potential as a therapeutic target for obesity-related metabolic complications.
