Abstract

The transition from Primary Education to Compulsory Secondary Education is one of the processes where the most relevant transformations occur within the educational system. Some studies show that these processes that occur between one stage and another, in some cases, appear as coherent transitions and, in others, as discontinuous ones. In any case, it is shared that they are changing from one school culture to another. This proposal is part of the research project approved by the Spanish Ministry of Universities, "The Transition to Compulsory Secondary Education". Pedagogical Impact and Consequences (TESO.ICP) aims to research, analyze and evaluate the transition process to Compulsory Secondary Education and identify the conditioning factors that affect the said process. Delving into these elements that can generate social exclusion and highlighting those favouring the transition at these levels allows us to offer different proposals for improvement in these processes.
